The Spiritual Warfare Quadrant by Elaine Davenport Sunday, December 28, 2008

archangel

Spiritual warfare is a very serious matter.  On both sides.  But God has promised us victory.  A lot of people don’t believe it is real.  That makes the devil very happy.  But you must know that he can and he must be stood down and you have the power to do that.  Here’s some ammunition; as you meditate on these scriptures take every word to heart and picture it.  Your faithfulness and diligence will take you to higher levels.

I. Promises:

Malachi 4:3 “And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be
ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this,
saith the Lord of hosts.”

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper;
and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt
condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord …”

Romans 8:38-39 “For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers … nor height, nor depth,
nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of
God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

1.  John 4:4 “You … have overcome them: because greater is He that
is in you, than he that is in the world.”

2. Our enemy:

II. WHO

Our battle is “not against flesh and blood ” (things in the natural realm),
“but against … spiritual wickedness.” “For though we walk in the flesh,
we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not
carnal …”

B. Our Warranty:

Authority must be taken over Satan’s attempts to hinder the work and
the word of God. There are spiritual powers that must be broken.

C. Tools of the Enemy:

1. Doubt

2. Cunning trickery ever so slight

3. Condemnation

4. Projection of guilt

5. Projection of shame

6. Lies

7. Robbery

8. Death

III. Level of preparedness:

1. You must fight

2. You must stay in faith

Your fight will be and must be a fight of faith.

3. Type of fighter you must be….and you must be all three:

Boxer.

1 Corinthians 9:26 “I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so
fight I, not as one that beateth the air …”

B.   Soldier.

2 Timothy 2:3-5 “Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier
of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs
of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

Ephesians 6:11-17 “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be
able to stand against the wiles of the devil…. take unto you the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand. Stand therefore …”

C.   Wrestler.

Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness
of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

IV. Instructions and Guidelines:   (Pay attention)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Footnote:  Your final warning…pay attention to the word “faith.”
