Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; EPHESIANS1: 5-7

I don’t know you; but it’s possible that the above scriptures haven’t come alive yet for you. I understand. I’ve heard them so many times. But then something happened to me:

I was lying in the bed sleeping the other night. I guess I was in a semi conscious state. I had far too many covers on. I threw one off and at that instant I heard:

Without the shedding of the Blood; there could be no remission of sins!

Let’s look at Hebrews 9: 18-22

Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

That was the custom of the Old Testament. However, let’s look at Hebrews 10: 4

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. (For all of mankind)

God needed a perfect sacrifice. One that would be a ONE TIME ONLY AND NOT CONTINUOUS; WHOSE BLOOD WOULD COVER ALL THE SINS OF MANKIND.

Let’s Look at Hebrews 7: 26-28

For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this HE DID ONCE, when he offered up himself.
For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

God appointed Jesus to be the cleanser of our sin and to be the Blood sacrifice for any man or woman who through faith believes in him and what he did for us at Calvary!

Everytime I throw my covers off, I remember that and I thank him!
