A Response to: “Let The Prophetess Juanita Bynum & Bishop Weeks case be a lesson to you!”

I agree with the comments concerning the Weeks. (Juanita Bynum & Bishop Weeks) I agree with the comment concerning “Christian Marriages,” but, when are we as “saints” going to let our new nature have control instead of living and coddling the old man, his nature, character and deeds?

Not dealing with your issues, which we all have, is a feeding ground for the flesh, which the enemy uses to make Christ look bad. It’s not satan (yes, small ‘s’) that makes us look bad, we do it to ourselves. We have to embrace the new man, our new nature and have the mind of Christ. Do we make mistakes? Of course, can we still fall or stumble? Yes. But, I believe that God will cover us, for a while. He does not want us to be embarrassed or humiliated, it makes Him look bad as well. We have to take full responsibility and own up to our short-comings and the fact that God never exposes us unless He has tried many times to get our attention. Even now He’s still trying to get both of their attentions. STOP the parading in front of the cameras, marking territory, abusing the position(s) and GET SOME HELP. I have been saved for over 30 years, there are somethings in this walk that maturity dictates and commands. We are cautioned to beware lest we fall.

Accountable partners don’t have to live with you or be afraid of repercussions or backlash. Accountability partners are proven friends who can be open and honest with you, as you are with them. The aim is to help each other reach the potential God planned. Beware that true friendships are rare. David and Jonathan’s are out there, But, YOU HAVE TO BE WILLING TO HEAR THE HARD STUFF, THE TRUTH AND NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH ABOUT YOURSELF! Now that takes maturity. Humility has a scent an odor. It is fresh and fragrant. Perhaps what we’re smelling in the case of the Weeks is something other than…I am sure that we are not the only ones praying for their healing and recovery both personally and corporately. The Body keeps taking hits because we keep leading with our left, which leaves us open and vulnerable for the enemy to jab. So yes, let’s pray for them and each other that we will examine ourselves and make our election and calling sure!

You have to be elevated to fall…so it stands to reason that when you are in a position of influence and power to be extra careful to make sure that you have fully and accurately dealt with all known issues. How can you do that? Have someone (other than a spouse) to be accountable to. Someone whom you can be transparent and vulnerable with. This is not always the case in marriages. I dare say there are few marriages (saved or not) where this kind of openness is fostered).
