The Truth About Warfare! November, 2011
For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10: 3-4
WORD FOR THE DAY! October, 2011
Thank you so much for all of your support! It has been your unrelenting queries and wonderful comments that have created a force and caused us to feature information on warfare, satanic attacks and prayer. We couldn’t have done it without you. This coverage has greatly contributed to our being able to say…the Power Of God is a force that cannot be overcome!
Plain and Simple: Why Faith Works! by Gene McGuire August, 2011
“Do not go down to Egypt; dwell in the land of which I shall tell you.” (Genesis 26:2)
COMMENT: In our Lead Scripture God is talking with Isaac telling him to “stay put”. I am sure that this was a “hard saying” to Isaac because there was a famine in the land and he must have been tempted to do what his father, Abraham, had done during that first famine .(Genesis 12:10) Isaac trusted the Lord more than he was afraid of the dry and arid land he saw. Abraham’s son was faithful and followed God’s advice. That faithful servant planted crops right where he was and “he reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous. . . .” (Genesis 26:12 &13) Sometimes the Word of God or the prompting of the Holy Spirit does not seem the right thing to do considering the circumstances. However 2 Cor. 5:7 admonishes us to WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT!

You are in the army of God if you are a believer. Some may ask why that is? It’s because if you aren’t working for Satan; he’s going to shoot at you and try to pick you off! Now, I admit that you may be an inactive warrior; and that makes the devil happy, but you had better realize quickly that there is a war going on!
If you’ll look carefully at God’s instructions to believers to be equipped ..He also mentions prayer. Prayer is the “stabilizer.” It is a force that allows one to leverage things.
So…how in the world can a person of prayer who declares themselves to be a “warrior” for Almighty God be embattled?
That is one tough question and I can only answer for what I’ve seen and what I’ve been through. Whew!

I made a decision to become a Prayer Warrior for so many reasons. I believe in the power of prayer. I know God answers prayer. I love people. I love them so much, that I also love praying for them. I do not have to know them. They do not have to know me. I believe God’s Word. I use it to pray! I get answers. God tears down the strongholds. He needs people to pray…and never stop. I am not afraid of the devil. He’s not a threat. He can be contained and he’s already defeated! I like that God gives me a say in what happens to me and my family. I like working for God. He’s a great employer.
A True Prayer Warrior is a member of God’s special forces…we get things done…often on the night watch…we are always on duty…always on call!
A lot of people become PRAYER WARRIORS for these very same reasons. It’s not all cake and ice cream. It takes faith, studying, diligence, obedience, following through, not being lazy and more. There is a lot of work. The passion MUSt be there…loving God, being excited to praise Him no matter what…being at the ready to obey His every command…the greatest being THE CALL TO LOVE!
Some become prayer warriors for various reasons…and after a series of tests…they become weary. They begin to question it. They back up, slow down, lose heart, lose the passion…become weak…
BUT WHEN THAT HAPPENS…OR “IF” THAT HAPPENS……DIG IN YOUR HEELS; draw close to God. He’ll draw close too and rekindle your fires! I know…it happened to me.

Ephesians 6:10-18
King James Version (KJV)
10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Associations! by Gene McGuire June, 2011
“But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner–not even to eat with such a person.” (1 Corinthians 5:11)COMMENT: Different regions of our Country have different names for the same objects. For instance, in my hometown, Detroit, we call soft drinks “pop”; here in Virginia, the same beverage is called “soda”. When I first heard that term, I didn’t know what was meant. Well, the other day I was making a list of things I wanted to purchase from the grocery store and I was amused that, without any forethought, I had automatically written “soda” and not “pop”. I really should not have been surprised that after more than 30 years in this area I had finally succumbed. I probably had “crossed over” long ago but was not really conscious of that development. I believe that our Lead Scripture warns us against fellowshipping with Christian scoundrels because of the same kind of “contagion”. We should fraternize with mature, well-grounded brothers and sisters in the Lord. 2 Timothy 2:22 “amens” that thought when it says; “Flee youthful lust, but pursue righteousness, faith, love peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” Of course, that doesn’t mean that we should not have anything to do with unbelievers. . .how else could we witness to them? However, we shouldn’t make him or her a “bosom buddy”, unless that person is a spouse; perhaps, by our witness, that spouse could be saved.SCRIPTURE STUDY: 1 Cor. 7:13 – 16 and 2 Cor. 6:14WISE SAYING: ASSOCIATION BRINGS ABOUT ASSIMILATION.Just a thought, not a sermon.
