Please don’t think it’s strange when you the most awful or ridiculous dream while you’re sleeping. Remember who you are in Christ and that you have control!
(1 Pet 4:12 KJV) Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
Last night I had the most awful dream I had ever had. Everything that was important to me was threatened and it was as though I found myself on a slippery slope. In the dream; I did not even remember that I was a believer; and as a result I had no defense. It was a dream in which I could not figure out a way to fix it. At one frustrating point; I thought “perhaps, if I just act like people in the world and go off; I can turn this around!” Somehow I knew not to do this! Thank the Lord!
What to do when backed in a corner in a dream…
The sub conscious mind is really something. Some of us are so desperate for sleep that we’ll accept it at any quality. I won’t do that, I’ve learned the hard way. It’s not acceptable. One of the mighty prayer warriors that I know, Sister Olivia told me that she pleads the blood of Jesus around her bed at night so that she can sleep peacefully. I’ll start doing that.
What to do? Wake up if you’re unable to take control in the dream. I woke up and came to my senses immediately. THe Holy Spirit began to minister to me telling me what to do.
I got back in the bed and spoke to everyone and everything that had come up against me. In that dream, I cleaned house. I explained that in and on the authority of Jesus, I was casting everyone out! I spoke to principalities and bound them. I bound Spirits of confusion and loosed Godly peace! I cast out demons giving them the Word of God!
THEN VICTORY CAME!
It was counterfeit! It looked real, but it was counterfeit! How do I know? After I had my say; it all ceased! Everything froze. I went from being a helpless victim, to the director! Not by my night…Oh No!
Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4: 7
God says that we have the ability to pull down strongholds. The enemy had visited me with horrible dream, destroying my peace over the years, it was a stronghold…no more! Praise God!

Thanks for your post. I have had several dreams of Satanic attack and cannot figure out why. I do the same thing in my dreams. I plead the blood of Yeshua (Jesus) and then they are gone. In one dream, I was at church and being thrown up against the walls like a ping pong ball. I’m not sure what that battle is but I rest in the Messiah completely. I will pray for you for peaceful dreams. God Bless.

A long time prayer warrior at a recent prayer meeting told a few of us; that she pleads the Blood every night before she gets in the bed by walking around the bed once; I started doing that. It’s become routine. The dreams stopped. I now get restful and peaceful sleep. God is Good! Amen?
My dreams are different. I’ve had 3 dreams that I can directly remember, but I’ve had more I know. But I’m not a victim. The first dream I was playing with a little girl baking in an easy bake oven, then her mom came in and told me to get out. I got out and while I was walking out I knew I had to go back. When I went back I went into this room and had a flash light and a bible in my hands, and casted out demons all night long. The next dream I can’t remember the full story, but I cast out demons continuously in that dream. I think I was in my bedroom in that dream. The third dream was last night, some crazy demon just showed up at my door, and I started casting him out. I repeated “I cast you out in Jesus’ name over and over. It took forever for him to go away.

I think that as Christians, we should have a victor rather than a victim mentality. When I have bad dreams, I tell myself it’s what the devil wnats, not what God wants and then i negate the evil dream by the blood of Jesus and start to pray God’s declarations upon my life. I know people who take every dream as what is going to happen to them and do not bother to check if the dream is in line with God or it’s just a lie of the devil. We need to be aware of the lies of the devil and pray.
Hi Bukola! Thanks for your comment. You know faith comes by hearing and hearing. If we can just remind ourselves and each other that we are the “victors”; I believe that it will carry over for anyone struggling with those issues. That’s why I embrace positive encouragement and why reading the Word of God in relation to Who we are in Christ can strengthen ever believer. Good point; well taken.
This dream last night was tuely bizarre. I was with my16 month old son. A man and woman at a gathering approached us. I felt chills when I met them, both dark haired and attractive, yet menacing. They wanted us to join a small group at a party. When we were in the room, the man put a mask/hood over his head with horns and then there were several others that played some king of strange musical instruments and sang a foreign tongue that was worshiping satan. There were black dogs. My son was wandering and was playing in the dog dishes of water when the water turned into acid and hurt him and I woke up screaming. Was this a dream or an attack?
Sister Louisa, I do not know. I don’t have enough information or prayer to make an honest answer. If it happened to me, I would plead the Blood of Jesus around my bed when I got in it as I always do. As a result, I have restful sleep now. Don’t be afraid. Are you saved? How close are you to God in “your honest opinion?
You don’t have to answer here, but ask yourself. I will lift you and your situation up in prayer.
I have had several dreams where I know that I have been under demonic attack and the situation always seems to be one where I know what is happening but feel compailed to take action. The one that I had last night has been the most intense and I could not wake up by calling the name of Jesus alone but when I repeated “Jesus the son of the most High God” the demons fled and I woke up. I then began to pray and read scriptures. One on these dreams usually seem to follow some type of breakthough in my life.
Hi Billie! It seems pretty clear that Satan is attacking us in dreams. Good to hear that you are fortified. Since I’ve been pleading the Blood of Jesus over and around and in the bed before I sleep, I’ve been sleeping quite peacefully. Oh, if I had only known this 20 years ago! Just after my mother died, I dreamed I was going round an old church with a pastor. When we came to the oldest part of the church, he said, look I cast out the evil. At that point I fell on the ground and couldn’t get up. I felt such awful awful desolation. I fought to wake up and said the Lord’s prayer over and over until the awful feeling of desolation left. I was still so afraid that I had to wake my husband up.
Just before she died, I dreamed there was a man standing by the bed smoking a cigarette. The next day my son was jumping on the bed. He told me that the pillow smelled of cigarette smoke and when I smelt it, it really did. No in our house smokes.
Do you know what this was about?
Blessings Jean! We’re sorry that we don’t interpret dreams. However, we can tell you that we as believers always plead the Blood of Jesus over our loved ones especially those that are being challenged in their health. We even plead the blood over our beds at night.

It is very good and encouraging to find out that I am not the only one who has had demonic dreams. I am always dreaming that I am casting out demons from people or that I see specific people who need deliverance. To later find out that the Lord is preparing me for something GREAT! I ask the Lord to show me dreams that are of him and then my dreams begin to line up with scripture and to only see the dreams come to pass, but I always intercede after I have the dreams. I used to tell people immediately but I stopped doing that and I just pray and wait on the Lord. Sometimes the dreams are meant for a certain individual who is going to go through a trial, and I begin to intercede for them. God Bless You

I thin i have found a very good answer to my problem
Thanks for posting this, the last 2 days I have had intense dreams that made me think they were something more. In the first one I was outside of my body and aware of myself lying on the bed across the room. I sensed something was wrong and tried to wake myself up, for I have been a lucid dreamer for many years. I had some kind of sleep paralysis and could not move or open my eyes. At the same time I was pinned against the wall and forced to watch myself being possessed by something (evil), of course I did not want to see this and so I prayed, to God and to Jesus, and very quickly I was released and awake and it was over with. The second one was not as bad but I am not remembering much of it. I will try the techniques listed before bed, I honestly haven’t wanted to sleep since the possession dream. I am thankful I am capable of prayer while dreaming, but it was no less horrifying while it lasted.
Last night, i felt the bed vibrate and then turn to violent shake, wasnt sure if this was in a dream state or not but i knew I could not move. i began to say the Lords Prayer and was interupted by this “woman” that sat on me. I tried to turn and finish my prayer but she kept trying to subdue me.
I remember vividly later holding her by the throat and saying, “I am the son of my father Yahweh and you cannot harm me”. I clearly remember the shocked look on her face and then she bit me, from which I immediately woke up.
I cant remember the last time I have prayed, I must admit, I have not been the ideal Christian, but this has definately changed me.
There are a few things that dont sit well with me, one is that I have never spoken those words in a dream or awake state so I dont know what that means. Second, for about a week, I have been having this …inclination… to read the Bible before I go to bed and last night I remember asking the Holy Spirit to help me and give me strength before going to bed. Finally, I was having a shower today and noticed a 1/4 inch mark on my right hand, just in between my thumb and my index finger, the same hand that was bit in my dream. I couldnt remember how I got it but trusted in the Lord that I am safe and He is protecting me. I am just very confused about all of this but my Faith seems strong. Has this ever happened to others? What should I do, and advice will be appreciated. God Bless.

satan does attack in dreams. He visited in my dream and made me believe he was taking me into a flower nursery and he knew i loved flowers and he showed me a blue flower which is also my favourite and as i went over to the blue flower he pushed me down into a water dam and started drowning me. When i woke up i was realy drowning, i could breath and i was already half way dead. I past out on the floor and only the next morning when i woke up i realized he was tricking me in a dream and God saved me from death.
Hello Matilda, get some scriptures on strength and courage and read them one hour before you go to bed in the place where you sleep. After that plead the Blood of Jesus over yourself and the bed. Continue to do this until it stops. The devil can’t stand up to faith or the word; but you need to know it in your heart. When you do; he cannot come against you and win. It’s impossible. He might try…but he can’t win.
As far as your dream is concerned; the devil knows your weaknesses for he has studied you intensely…but he can’t come against the Blood.
Dearest Matilda, you are so right. Since I began to write bout this; I have learned so much. We must engage the enemy and not be afraid. We do this through the power of the Holy Spirit (we have no might on our own) and the authority of the name of Jesus.
Demons recognize power and authority. They just hope you don’t know. So even in your sleep; you must have this registered in your heart so that your spirit can defend you.

I don’t know whats going on but my dreams are freaky, sometimes good and sometimes bad.
Last night I had a dream that I was talking to Satan and he was trying to get me to follow him but I was like “heck no!” and he started to blame everything on God and that it is his fault. And then I was like “well maybe you shouldn’t have been so prideful and try to take what is God’s. All I know is that God and I won that debate.
But I’ve had other ones just like that, I was in a floating castle and me and almost the same thing happened. Satan was trying to get me to work for him and I said no, I am for God. I know I am a sinner but Christ died for me and that is who I live for.
And another time on a mission trip. I had a dream that I was working for the devil and I woke up yelling because I couldn’t handle it.
I used to have dreams that there would be some demon trying to scare me somewhere in my dream. And I would actually charge at it, and get so mad in my dream at it that I would start shaking and then literally wake up from that shaking.
But now, it just seems like I’m having a lot of dreams about choosing Christ over Satan. I keep having this feeling that I need to tell more people about Christ because he is coming back very soon. Maybe the devil knows I want to tell people so he’s attacking me in my dreams? I don’t know.
Syd, I can relate to you. About 3 times so far there has been instances where I am half asleep and I try to wake up but I can’t. I know I have the holy spirit in me so I know I am not possessed but it does say in the Bible that Satan shoots “arrows” in our mind, to tempt us or to scare us. I think these kind of dreams are just to scare us. We have Jesus therefore we can change lives. Satan hates this Idea and wants to stop it in any way he can and the first thing I think is to scare them. I noticed a huge difference when I read my bible before I go to bed and make sure I’m right with God. Without him, we are nothing.
Brian, only you know where you’re at spiritually. But it “sounds” like maybe Satan feels you are a spiritual threat to him. Prove him right. All power to God!

Wow…..It is really amazing to see that this topic is very common! I’ve had many dreams where demons tried to possess my body, they would just look at me and it would paralyze my body and I would be filled with fright and couldn’t move. But I would say,”I rebuke you in the name of JESUS!” And I would wake up…But more on down the road the dreams started getting worse. The demon would paralyze my body so strongly that I couldn’t even move my mouth to speak JESUS. But I would just think the name in my head and BOOM! I would be released and wake up! There is so much power in the name of JESUS and as followers of GOD we have authority to bind up them demons and cast them away in the name that causes all demons to tremble “JESUS”!! Hallelujah, praise GOD! Everytime I speak the name JESUS in those horifying nightmares I wake up! Sometimes in dreams instead of waking up I would defeat them because my GOD is a mighty GOD and he will put the devil under are feet and release us. So if you are having these problems, brothers and sisters, call upon his name even in those dreams! Don’t let the devil deceive you or even intimidate you because he already lost and besides,”The Lord hath not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) And just like the book of matthew says, whatsover the saints of GOD bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsover we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. So be not afraid but instead bind that evil up in JESUS name and cast them away. GOD bless you all.
It seems these type of dreams are quite common. I used to be in league with the devil and at one time held my alliegance to Satan. Now I am a born again Christian. Just last night however I had a dream that really scared me. When I was into Satanism these dreams didn’t bother me, but now that I am a born again Christian they do.
I had dreampt last night that there was a man a decent looking man standing outside my bedroom window looking in. In my dream I knew right away it was satan and I started yelling for my brother and sister to come into to my room before he disappeared.
I wanted them to see him. When they did come into the room I was pointing at the man standing outside my window looking in and telling them thats satan, thats Satan. Then I woke up. I was scared but I started praying to God and pleaded the blood of Jesus to cover me and my bedroom and house.
Then I prayed to God to let me go back to sleep but have a peaceful dream this time and the Lord answered my prayer. I went back to sleep and slept good after that.

I recently have grown in the church taking on more responsibilities, but had a dream the other night that really shocked me, i was in an old house looking or maybe even touring it and this candle holder floated down the hall and pinned me to the wall and this figure or voice or both was trying to get to to say satan was lord, but i know that Jesus Christ is lord and i would not submit, but finally professing christ as lord it ended, then still in my sleep professed christ the rest of my nigh sleep and telling satan to get behind me, I had an awesome peace. But i think this was satan way of testing me and my christian faith. Thank you god for your grace and mercy !!!!

That’s the dream I always have. It’s been pretty common for me the last few years. I didn’t realize the gravity of the situation until my good friend went to North Africa on a missions trip for a year and she reported having the same dream — when her housemates would regularly have night-terrors of demonic visitation. When I found out that my dreams were on par with that level of spiritual attack, i was shocked. A few weeks ago I had one of these dreams but this time I COULDN’T invoke the name of Christ. I didn’t have the strength and my friends (who were in the car with me in my dream) were too distracted to do it for me. Last night I had another one that I was successful in invoking Christ’s name.
I’m kind of curious as to what is the significance of these dreams. Is it simply spiritual attack, or is it a warning of greater spiritual attack in waking life? In the past I have had dreams that have come to pass later on… often they are negative, warning dreams.

Hi Jess! Thanks for stopping by. If you just look at the total number of comments; it’s an indicator that something (very deliberate) is going on when we go to sleep.
Over the years, I’ve had all kind of “crazy” stuff going on in my sleep. Most of it was oppressive. It was late in the game that I learned to plead The Blood of Jesus “before” I got in the bed. Learned it from a more seasoned friend of mine Sister Olivia.
So, I say: I plead the Blood of Jesus over me, my husband, my children and I name them. I plead the Blood of our home, our doors, our windows, our beds. As I step into the bed I say I plead the Blood of Jesus over my pillows, my mattresses, my mind, will and emotions then I close my eyes!
If I see something I don’t like when I first close my eyes, I open my eyes and say: The Blood of Jesus permeates my body them I enjoy sweet sleep. I’ve had the same thing that you describe only I was a kid.
I know it was a demon but don’t know why. I do know the thief comes to kill, steal and destroy.
There are no coincidences and we’re all made to sleep sweetly. Some of us may choose not to. Nothing is beyond the Authority Of The believer and don’t forget it Jess.

Hey, i have been saved for about 6-7 months now. i have been fighting satan. i really want to win.
lastnight i dreamed that one of my pregnent friends was needing a place to stay and i let her. then i went to bed. as i was putting on my bed clothes i dreamed that satan came out of the sky and grabbed me around my neck and was choking me. he held me so strong that i couldn’t get the words jesus out. i managed too. he let me go. i don’t know what they mean and i would love to fig. it out. do any one have any advice. i got a preacher to go into my bedroom and pray over the house and everything. Thank God i have a wonderful pastor. i have been fighting him tho. If it wasn’t for God nothing would be possible..

First off, I’m glad to know that there are other people out there that go through the things I go through. Just the other night I was asleep but I had a dream that felt so incredibly real. It’s hard to believe you are dreaming when everything around you is exactly the way it was when you fell asleep. In my dream my girlfriend opened the bedroom door and she said something to me kind of in a whisper. Then I realized it was not really her. All of a sudden I couldn’t speak or move. I was trying to yell for help because I was afraid of being physically attacked and I struggled to move but I was as slow as molasses. It was right then that I came out of my sleep, I would have been more terrified but I’ve been through demonic attacks before so it wasn’t anything totally out of the normal for me. I asked my girlfriend the next morning if she ever came in my room, of course she said no…..
One thing I want people to know though is that you can also recieve messages from God in your sleep, I had a dream where I saw Jesus. It was a crazy dream. He didn’t talk to me, he couldn’t really. There was a point though that he looked straight into my eyes and I could just tell somehow that he knew exactly who I was and everything about me. I believe I got the message from that dream.

What a day! It started with prayer at 4am. The day never slowed down. We make it a point to take every prayer request to Corporate Prayer everyday Monday through Friday. Well, it is fortunate that Cafe Sozo has 7 sites but it keeps us busy. So, we are just now seeing your request and we will take your request before the throne of God. We agree with you in prayer that God will meet all of your prayer needs and will pray over your specific request with 50 or more people. We would never ignore such a serious request, but we do indeed have a backlog. Thanks for your patience and we encourage you to stand in faith.
The other night, right as I was falling sleep I had a dream of attack. I was aware of myself lying in bed in my room. Only my room was not quite the same. The furniture was rearranged slightly. The lighting seem to be that of candles…sort of a dark glow. In the air, I could hear music. It was sort of old fashioned music someone might play on an upright piano in a western or something. Only, it was being played on the toy piano I actually have in my room in real life. And then I became aware that someone was gagging or strangling me, or sitting on my chest so that I had no air in my lungs to be able to speak. I knew it was satan and as I became more aware of my muteness I tried to scream. I could not. This is when panic set in and I tried to wake up. I was not only mute, but paralyzed. I could not speak to cast him out. Finally I guess I was able to make a groan in the physical because my mom heard and came in to check on me. This is not my first nightmare, so she was quick to the rescue. Thank goodness. She prayed over me and cast satan out. Thinking back, I’ve had these reoccuring dreams of being mute. thinking about it later I felt I got some understanding. I believe God showed me my gifting is writing. And if that is so then Satan would attempt to rob me of that so that God would not be glorified and others would be not be set free. It made perfect sense to me.
And just to add another tip, I used to pray this before bed:
“I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8

I can not say much here, but you must conquer your fear in the dream. And know that you are in control. You may be scared and feel out of control. But it’s your dream. You can do anything. I have been attacked in dreams by living people because of jealousy and hatred. The lord helps you but you must find it in your self. He wants us to learn so that we can become strong. That is the gift he gives us. There will be a day when all you see in your dreams will come true. will you run, or stand and fight?
I plan on holding my ground. Doubt and fear are the only advantages the darkness has. When it comes just be strong and don’t give in. Live because others can not. And be thankful. And when it’s all over don’t worry your not alone

i would like to know someones perspective about my dream or interpretation.
It was a verry deep dream, i dreamed that i was slepping and i could see my bf next to me just the way that he is sleepig, and i saw a young man that i know has dies a couple of years ago, he came on the bed to me, and i couldn’t move or talk, and i knew it was satan and not this guy, and i only could say something when he let me, and he said to me, give me your soul, and i answered no, my soul belongs to God and he was mad and press me hard and said again give me your soul, and i answered no, my soul belongs to God, and in the mean while i was praying in my self and calling on hte blood of jesus and just calling on god, and suddenly i could talk, and i felt the precemce of the lord filiing from the entrance from my house til my room and closer it got the more strenght i got, and i had the power to talk and i said, oh you better be ready cause god is here, and he dissapeared and i woke up shaking
amazing ha? i don’t belive this was just a dream.
You may not like my answer…but you asked. Satan looks for a way in. Sin…is his free pass. I don’t know you…but if your boyfriend was in the bed with you…that “may” well have been an open door. Examine yourself to see if you’re in right standing. Pray about it. You might consider shutting that door and pleading the Blood of Jesus. Something to think about…it’s your choice.

In my dream, I was actually sleeping, and then something to the side of my bed, as if it was some kind of an alarming clock, went on – in a very weird manner and I instantly knew it was demonic activity .. in the dream, I woke up and started pushing my bed back and forth out of nowhere .. very demonic type of stuff .. I was doing this while feeling as if my arms were totally tied you know .. (in the dream) my bed went back and forward for a couple seconds and I was aware of what was going on – just wanted to call out for Jesus, but couldn’t.
The arms felt tied and the mouth felt shut .. seconds before the dream ends, I manage to cry out for Jesus – instantly felt free (arms and mouth), and there I am in the corner of the room watching the shadowy demonic entity running out of the window (still in the dream).
That’s when I suddenly woke up, and felt absolute peace, even thou it felt really, really weird. Was laying down for a bit just thinking “waw, that was something alright”.
Prayed, and here I am posting (and google searching to see if this has happened to other people).
The whole dream seemed like it lasted for about 20 seconds. I always have a good sleep – this just happened and I thought it was weird since, before going to bed, I actually asked for a dream about the rapture, tribulation or something related with Jesus.
First two logical things I got out of this was, either being attacked or got the prayer answered and Jesus gave me this dream to let me know of His power, but who knows right … wasn’t really expecting this lol.
All in all, It does feel good now (20 or 30 mins after waking up). God bless you all & your loved ones ! Jesus is power !

I had a dream last night like the dreams that have been mentioned above. I was sleeping at my friends house that I was visiting and I was on the couch by myself. In my dream I was exactly like how I was in real life, only I was watching TV in my dream. All of a sudden I just knew that it was 3am and immediately the TV turned off by itself, the christmas tree lights started blinking rapidly and then my covers were thrown off my body. I saw my phone and it was blinking on and off uncontrollably. I knew I was being attacked by a demon and I started praying but I forgot how to. I was just saying amen over and over again. Well, that wasn’t working so I started saying as fast as I could ” I plead the blood of Jesus over my body” and immediately everything stopped and I woke up. I was glad to see that my blanket was still on me in real life. Satan knows this is one of my biggest fears and I am just recently trying to get my life back on track for the Lord. I just hate that Satan knows my fears and he uses them against me, Im so glad God is bigger than him and God will always conquer.

Well, I am not a dream interpreter…but I am a Prayer Warrior. This is what is “sounds” like. I am not a professional, but I know some spiritual things. It sounds like what I went through. The more of the Word of God that I studied and read and recited, the more it was deposited inside me, what’s inside will come out even under duress. AMEN AMEN AMEN…came out…and then you remembered the blood of Jesus because it wasa inside you. Memorize Ephesians 6: 10-18…stay in faith…the devil will move on…Blessings & Love
Hi CC! I don’t know what your dream means. It sounds like you’re pretty strong and to get stronger start speaking what the bible says…and studying the Blood of Jesus and ask God to reveal the mysteries to you. I know that He will. Blessings & Love!
